Business Manager

My name is Suzanne Clitheroe and I am the Business Manager at Leyland Surgery, The Surgery Chorley & Station Surgery. I grew up and still live in the local area. I have worked in the NHS for over 20 years in a variety of roles within General Practice including reception, secretarial, administrative, dispensary and practice management. I enjoy a challenge and feel very lucky to be part of a professional team that strives to give the best possible patient care. In my spare time I enjoy walking my dogs, snowboarding and socialising.

Paula Kellock (f)


Practice Manager

Hi, my name's Paula Kellock and I am the Practice Manager at The Surgery Chorley.  I joined the NHS in 2012 and have undertaken a variety of different roles including reception, secretary and administrator.

I have two children, who are not so little now … my youngest being 17 and eldest just turned 20.  The most recent addition to the family being my gorgeous labradoodle. 

I enjoy long walks with the family and of course my dog. I also love going to gigs to watch my eldest’s band and enjoy socialising in general.

I have worked as a medical secretary at a surgery in Penwortham and successfully completed the AMSPAR qualification. I had a break from General Practice during which time I worked for the Benefits Agency and then at a local Disability Charity. I returned to General Practice in 2011. I am pleased to be part of this Practice and enjoy working with a professional and positive team of people. 

In my spare time I foster cats for the Charity 'Cats Protection', I play drums in a local band, I enjoy traveling, riding my motorbike, gardening and listening to live music.

I enjoy socialising, photography and many outdoor activities. I have 2 children and I live in the local area and enjoy working for the surgery as I love working with the general public. Also, in my spare time I do make-up for close family and friends for special events.

I have worked with the NHS since 2016; I have learnt a lot in a short space of time and really enjoy the work load. Recently I have joined Leyland Surgery and already feeling part of the team. In my spare time you'll find me at the yard with my horse or out walking with my dogs. I love going on holiday somewhere hot, but also enjoy a relaxing weekend glamping with the dogs.

I have recently left college where I studied health & social care and gained the qualification of D*D*D*. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends making valuable memories

Hi I’m Louise and have recently joined the team at Leyland Surgery and the Surgery @ Chorley as a medical receptionist.  I grew up in Euxton and now live in Chorley with my two daughters who are both now grown up. I enjoy going to the gym and swimming, socialising with my friends and going to concerts. I look forward to getting to know everyone.

Sara Dearnaley

SaraMy name is Sara Dearnaley and I have recently joined the surgeries at both Leyland and Chorley. I am thoroughly enjoying working with a very professional and supportive team, in a very interesting and varied role. All my previous jobs have involved meeting and helping people, which I love to do. I moved to Lancashire in 2003 and love living in this area. Outside of work, I enjoy reading, cooking, adult colouring books and spending time with my husband, my nieces and nephews. I regularly enjoy visiting North Wales which is where I grew up and still have family there.

Hi, I'm Hannah. I have recently joined the team at Leyland Surgery as a Medical ReceptionistHannah after being Cabin Crew for almost 10 years. I grew up near Lytham and have recently moved to Chorley. I enjoy the gym, walking, cycling, holidays with my partner and socialising with friends. I look forward to becoming part of the team and getting to know everyone!

Vanessa Ormerod


I've been with the practice for 4 years as part of the reception team which has been great. I find I learn things every day and every day is a different challenge. Outside of work I enjoy walking our dog, spending time with my family and doing things with my two daughters. We especially like to go on walks and bike rides finding new places to grab some food along the way.

I am hoping to expand my role at Leyland Surgery by taking on additional admin duties and enjoy being part of this exciting venture. I am married with two daughters and my interests include music, reading, cookery, dining out and walking.

My name is Beverley Stowe and I have only recently joined the Surgery in April.  I love to meet people so do class myself as a 'people person' and I am really looking forward to gaining lots of new experiences in my role as a Medical Receptionist. I am married with 3 children and look forward to nothing more than spending quality time with my family. My spare time is spent socialising and enjoying life to the full - time is precious!

I have worked in the NHS for 19 years, 11 years in my current post. I have worked in administration in the Speech & Language Therapy Department, X-ray/Ultrasound and now as administrator/secretary, which I really enjoy. Out of work I enjoy reading, crosswords, walking and cycling.
